Fading Away

Just glancing at her makes him safe

Fills his senses with love

Her presence engulfs him

With sweet memories

Of candies

Balloons

Ponies

Valleys & more

In his heart & soul he knows

They share a bond

But his mind refuses to give him answers

Standing by his bedside

She touches her beloved

They glance at each other

Her eyes questioning

‘Do you remember me my beloved?”

His gaze, more of a plea

‘Don’t go,Don’t leave me’

Like a child holding to their parent

Afraid if they release their hand

They may get lost

There’s nothing she can do

As he slips from her

All his memories

Their memories fading away
